Artist's Comments

I made this stamp because of two reasons:

First:

People seem to forget about the fact that carnivores are not always hungry, and only eat as much as they need to (in contrast to humans that barely hunt/know what they eat, and take too much of it anyway). I doubt that they'd eat more than there's space left in their stomaches.

I mean dogs and cats are also carnivores, with sharp teeth and claws. They could kill you, but they don't. Unless we teach them to do so.

I believe that we could get along with other carnivores too, if we would respect them, and study their behaviors enough to not get into too much trouble.

Carnivores are no monsters. Those that call animals that are some themself.

Second:

I really start to dislike the host-family I stay with during my exchange year now, and all the other so-called religious people that seem to love God but hate anything he's created... except the humans, pff.
And then only few of them!

The first time I hung some posters up in my room, the father of the family came in and looked at a picture that showed a panther stepping in a blue light source (what made the fur look pretty cool).

This is the first thing he said:
"If I'd ever see such a thing here, I'd shoot it with my gun immediately!"

Go to Youtube and find a video called Christian The Lion.

I agree with both your points. =/ Disgusting. I hate people like that...and I ESPECIALLY hate the "religious" hypocrites. I'm yet to meet someone that is obviously a true religious person. They just keep the religion as an excuse to sin and then "get forgiven". I'm making Hellchild partly to bash people like that. A huge point will be to make fakely religious people look like the dumbest people alive...because they are.

yeah, nothing like highly religious people who are scared of anything with sharp teeth.

but, I disagree with you that we can train other animals like lions. at least we couldn't teech them not to eat us right away. domestic dogs and cats have been around us for a vary long time (like native Americas use dogs to pull tipi poles before Europeans brought horses) and since we have had such a long relationship with dogs and cats they have learn from their parents that we mean no harm. unlike a African wildcat is still a dangerous little thing because it and its parents aren't use it humans.

so if we did have pet lions right now, they would have to be separated immediately from birth and put with a domestic animal.

Yeah, they're still dangerous. I didn't mean taming when I said respecting. ^^;
I only meant getting outta their way, instead of shooting them at random or telling ridiculous fairy tales. Like fariy tales about the wolf... you saw what happened. Now he's the Big Bad Wolf for hunters and kids...

...Wha? Seriously, the first thing he thinks about when he sees a picture of a panther is shooting it?

Don't take life too seriously. You'll never escape it alive anyway.

I'm afraid I'm going to have to disagree with you over several points on your first reason, firstly the analogy concerning cats and dogs is a bit...iffy seeing as we, as humans took a wolf and a wildcat and bred them to function like that, the reason they don't attack humans is because humans have bred and conditioned them to see their master as the head of the pack or 'God'. that being said it is an extremely bad idea to keep a breed that is notorious for a challenge over leadership with you if you are sick, not all dogs behave like Lassie in that type of situation.

Secondly you say carnivores eat as much as they need to? This is correct in the sense that as much as they need to is as much as they can get, it would take a pride of lions a whole days worth of hunting to find enough food to sustain them to the next day. Prey is in large supply, but that doesn't make it any easier to catch. On a good hunt the pride would eat themselves silly and on too many bad hunts they would starve. Feed a dog too many cans of food and see what happens, it eats, it vomits and then if it is a healthy dog it will eat its vomit.

Oh and I do agree on your second point, funny you should use a panther as your example as I recently found this [link] article on the interwebs about a forest I live right on the edge of.

Can you see the fire in their eyes?
Can you hear the anguish in their cries?
Can you feel the beauty in their arts?
Can you sense the love within their hearts?

:icongryphonsshadow:
oh I see want you mean. that makes so much more sense. the big bad wolf is a vary bad thing, course the fear of wolves started with the werewolf myth.... But yeah children shouldn't be read stuff like that. because of the wolf be betrayed as a bad creature and the brothers grim were the ones who first wrote the story and were heavy religion based.

PS sorry this comment might be confusing..
