Today I decided to take a bus at random that drove to random places I didn't know, which I love to do when I'm running away from home (at least for the next hours before I come back AS ALWAYS).
It's completely normal to see a lot of cows when you drive around in the country of Switzerland. But we usually have these white ones that have big black or brown spots on their fur. I DIDN'T KNOW WE HAD HIGHLAND COWS TOO.
I was traveling between and over hills and forests when I suddenly saw them through the bus' window and immediately thought GET ME OUTTA THIS BUS I DON'T WANNA MISS THEM. Luckily, there was a bus station close to that meadow, so I left the bus and went to take photos.
MAN, I love cows, they have so much personality.
The highlands were about as curious as the other cows I'd known, for they all turned their heads to me when I came by. Started mooing, but the sound kinda reminded me of weird donkeys: "Moo*gasp*ooo*gasp*ooo!" Still I was quite awestruck by these animals. Man, these horns were huge.
When I first came by, the one black highland cow which seemed to have the highest rank made her way through the herd to have a closer look at me (yes, female, she had an udder and no MONSTER BALLS that almost touched the ground like the other males' that stepped outta her way as she came). She was like "ALRIGHT, make way, here I come, let ME have a look at this stranger, guys!" After seeing that I wasn't much of a great danger with a horrible taste when it came to hairstyle, she left in a way that was like "Okay, nothing special, GUYS, LET'S GET BACK TO WORK." and they stopped mooing and continued grazing.
THEIR CALVES WERE AS FLUFFY AS SHEEP. 0v0
After a while I decided to go back home and check when the next buses came but the plan had nothing written in the current hour and the next ones. I didn't want to realize I was being in the middle of nowhere (one farm, and just forests and hills everywhere, being miles away from the nearest town) where buses would drive only once in few hours. So I tried waiting for an hour, maybe they didn't write something special because one bus would come at every full hour?
So I waited. It was indeed a lonely place here. The only people that seemed to use the one street through this location were young bicyclists, and old men and women driving motorbikes (gotta love 'em). Rarely cars. I waited for like 45 minutes.
I was being damn lucky when a woman of the farm that saw me asked whether she could drive me to the nearest town because I was being in a location that was quite "cut off from the civilization" and buses would come here only once in few hours. First I was like "Uh, only if I don't trouble you too much with it?" and she was like "It's really no problem, I have to go there anyway." and I was like THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU!O.O
